    Fitting Sportspack arches

    Me again

Im fitting sportspack arches when my wheels arrive so is there any advice of things to be careful over or watch out for? Ive got the minispares templates for fitting them and I know to bend back the bottom of the wing to help keep it rigid and prevent the sharp edge from possibly shredding a tyre.

And Im nae wanting folk to say "Oh fitting 13s will spoil everything!" etc etc as they are bought and will look good which is what im looking for. Just a wee bit of advice as to how to go about it is all I ask.

    Thanks!

What ever you do Andrew, do not mark anything until you are completely happy with how they sit. Not telling you how to suck eggs. Use tape to align them as well as the templates.
Make sure you have the black strip between the arch and body work as well.
What kind of fasterners are you using or are they already moulded into the arches?
Once you have drilled the holes, treat them with a suitable pretector to dis-courage the dreaded tin worm.

    and finally

    Good luck

Well theres bolts moulded into the inner arch where it meats the body and Ive just got bolts through the post this morning to fasten them on. Genuine arches and bolts and seals so will all fit together right but Im dreading making a mistake

    Thanks though guys! Appreciate it!

Mine were a pain to fit but they aint genuine so that prob makes a difference...

1st time we done it ourself, marked it out wi a tipex pen, then took an angle grinder to the wing, but got them on fine...

2nd time the guy who done my paint got the templates, cut it all proper an drilled the holes for us an they were a nightmare but was fittin they stupid sideskirts at same time which didnt fit well... so its all tigersealed together, haha, but looks good now there on Am just hopin they dont have to come off, lol...

Ul get em on, main thing is like they said dont cut till ur sure cuz u cant un-do that part, xxx

Hi Andrew when you get the template make sure that the hole`s on the template match the arch, I done one before and some of the screws never matched the hole`s "a couple were half a hole out" which made the arch sit odd till it was re-drilled, best of luck Gerry.

Right wheels arrived last week so its time to fit the arches. One question. Am I right in thinking the rear arches dont need cut? Just had a look at the templates and theres no cut lines. If this is the case then it should be finished by the end of the weekend!

Haha dont want to rush it. Want them to sit right and look right. Worth too much money to risk as well!!! Patience is a virtue.
