Moving rear fog light into tailight housing

I thought I'd christen the new reference section with a guide on how to get rid of that fugly rust trap dangling from the rear valance (otherwise known as a fog lamp) and relocate it within your standard tail lights.

It should take around 5 minutes to complete and you will need the following;

Snips,
Soldering Iron (or other means of joining cables),
Insulation tape,
Heatshrink and heat-gun,
21W red-coloured fog light bulb,

Firstly, remove the connectors from the offside tail lamp and the fog lamp.

The Blue/yellow wire is the fog lamp supply.

Snip the green/brown wire (this is the supply for the reversing lamp) and wrap the supply side in insulating tape to prevent any short circuits - then tape it safely out of the road.

The connector end of the green brown wire should then be joined to the blue/yellow foglight supply wire:

I chose to wrap the wires together then solder them. I then put heatshrink over this to insulate:

The final step is to swap the white reversing bulb for the red 21w fog bulb (bottom bulb)

Put it all back together and give it a test. Job done
